Welcome to your new cooler home, Bev. Isn't it amazing what a difference being just a little closer to the ocean makes.

Cherries are one of my favorite summer treats, too.

Hi Barb,
Move to Oceanside! It's much cooler here! We
just did, so bye bye Fallbrook.

I think my favorite summer thing is all of it...it's my favorite season of the year: Bing cherries, watermelon, tomatoes (home grown), the
whole outdoor walking, bbqing, et al. I love it all.

Hope this finds you well and writing. Stay in touch.

xo

It is much nicer to eat outdoors. Ice, yes! What did people do before ice was available in summer? I'm spoiled, with ice and chilled water in the refrigerator door.

Lemonade.

It would serve me right to visit a snowy place one winter and be put to work doing all the shoveling. That would cure me of feeling snow deprived.

We do get snow in the mountains here.

For me the perfect climate would have just a light snow in winter, enough for a snow man and then a quick melt, with temperatures never above 80 degress (F) in summer. Lots of fall color, and wildflowers galore in the spring.

But we have it pretty good, so I should leave well enough alone and stop complaining.

No. No. It is never a mistake to be born where it never snows. Take it from someone who's got snowed in for weeks on end the past few winters. Mind you, too much heat is no good either. Make it 72 all the time for me.

I enjoy almost anything while sitting on our deck which is haded by an enormous maple tree. All food tastes better when eaten picnic style.
