My first reaction was panic and disbelief. Then just getting back to relaxing and enjoying the rest of the trip. My parents were relieved, but concerned with the mechanics of how the fire started, and how to prevent it from happening again. It took time for me to even consider the incredible synchronicity of that dust devil. Of course all I can do is reflect. No one has all the answers. Indeed, the odds of that dust devil drawing your mother's attention, and yours, just when the oven burst into flame, would seem to be too small to be calculated.
