Looks like she found a good spot. My cat loves heights too, anything but the top shelf is not good enough for her. Thanks for sharing the feline story and photo.

That is really funny. My cat doesn't like climbing on things. She prefers staying close to the heat registers on the floor. Good for me, I guess.

When I built a house, years ago, our cat loved to climb among the rafters...way up high. He would sleep peacefully, his tail hanging down, upon the narrow wood...even with workers banging nails not so far away from him. Cats are awesome.

Eric --- Tara likes the heights. I think if she were an outdoor cat, she'd spend most of her time up a tree, or on the roof.

Sarah --- Although Tara isn't a lap cat, she's very sociable with us, and does the same, following us from room to room or camping out in major walkways.

She has grown into a beautiful cat. And, from what you say, a determined one. Nothing is going to get between her and her shelf-view of you. Is she always so companionable? Misty follows me around from room to room; Callie parks herself and waits for me to return. Max sleeps where I am most likely to trip over him--thankfully, he's black and the carpet is beige, or I'd have a broken leg by now, I'm sure.

Great spot for a cat. She's up high where she can keep an eye on everything and make sure you keep working! Our cat, however, chose a bottom shelf.
